Futu Securities (Futu) is an Internet-based brokerage firm that provides global investors with an online stock trading platform to trade NASDAQ and Hong Kong Stock Exchange stocks. Futu is a licensed corporation registered with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong and is committed to provide investors high-quality and convenient online Hong Kong/U.S. brokerage services with low commissions.
The Challenge
With the rise of online trading, factors such as handling numbers of account opening applications and extremely high trading volumes have caused the servers of many banks and brokerage firms to periodically crash, restricting investors from trading normally.
Why Tencent Cloud
Over the past three years. Tencent Cloud’s technology facilitated Futu's complex infrastructure for handling daily OPS and management, allowing Futu to focus on developing trading and market quote services from the ground up. Futu's stock quote services are all directly connected to their corresponding stock exchanges, allowing for significantly shorter latency of quote data than that of its competitors. As the most responsive system with the strongest concurrent processing capability, Futu's proprietary Hong Kong stock trading system passed the HKEX's certification process after its first attempt. Orders could be placed to HKEX in mere 0.0037 seconds through Futu’s system
As the first customer of Tencent Cloud's Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Futu collaborates closely with Tencent Cloud’s technology on network infrastructure to provide its users with high-speed, stable and secure access services and significantly improved platform security. The outstanding capabilities of various products of Tencent Cloud, such as Direct Connect, Load Balance, CVM Server, Cloud Monitor and cloud computing and security services, enable Futu to streamline data processing and greatly reduce the time to market. Adopting Tencent Cloud’s technology provides a powerful network access capabilities and flexible scalability allow a secure, accurate, stable and responsive trading environment for Futu's Hong Kong stock, U.S. stock and AIS investor users.
