Tag-based cost allocation is a feature that enables custom management of users' cloud resource bills from the perspective of statistical analysis by leveraging the tag tool and cost allocation capabilities. Users can use tags to reallocate and analyze the costs or expenses of cloud resources in the bill according to their management or analysis needs by cost allocation dimensions such as the department using the resource or the application project for the resource.
Note:
EdgeOne tag-based cost allocation is an allowlist feature. You need to contact us for allowlist configuration before you can implement tag-based cost allocation. The EdgeOne tag-based cost allocation feature is only available to Enterprise edition users. Once activated, it will take effect from the 1st of the following month and cannot be applied to historical bills.

Binding Tags to a Site
The finest resource granularity of EdgeOne is the site, so tags can only be bound to the site. You can bind tags when adding a new site or after the site is added. Below is a brief description:
Binding Tags When Adding a New Site
Binding Tags to an Added Site
2. On the site addition page, click Add under Tag, and select the corresponding tag key and tag value, such as Operation Product: Tencent Cloud EdgeOne.
3. Complete the site access according to the site addition steps. If you can query the bound tag information on the site list page, it indicates that the tag binding is successful.
2. In the pop-up window, add the corresponding tag key and tag value, and click OK to complete the tag binding.
3. If you can query the bound tag information on the site list page, it indicates that the tag binding is successful.
Note:
EdgeOne tag-based cost allocation enables site-based splitting only and tag fee summaries. If you want splitting and settlement for domain names under the same site, you need to use the EdgeOne same-name site access method. The following is an example:
The existing site qq.com includes 1.qq.com and 2.qq.com under the Acceleration Department, and 3.qq.com and 4.qq.com under the Security Department. Domain-level cost allocation by the tag is required. The operation is as follows:
Create a new site qq.com, bind the "Acceleration Department" tag, and add the domain names 1.qq.com and 2.qq.com under this site. All subsequent subdomain names of the Acceleration Department will be managed under this site.
Create another new site qq.com, bind the "Security Department" tag, and add the domain names 3.qq.com and 4.qq.com under this site. All subsequent subdomain names of the Security Department will be managed under this site.
This allows the bill to be split into different operational departments based on different tags. In summary, if a site has more (N) department tags, it needs to be split into N sites first during site addition, then the tags are bound separately, and then the subdomain names are added.
