Philippines’ financial services sector is required to adhere to the 8 relevant regulations promulgated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), etc., which cover various aspects in the use of information technology in the financial sector, such as risk management in the use of information technology, personal information protection, information technology in banks, and applications and security controls in systems such as insurance, e-government systems, electronic money, payment system infrastructure, payment service providers, etc. to ensure the reliability, security, robustness and stability of financial information systems.
