When your account has insufficient available balance and is unable to complete payment, it will enter arrears status. Arrears may affect the normal operation of the cluster. Please top up promptly.

Monthly Subscription Instance Overdue Payment

Alerts

You will receive the following alerts after specifying the recipients and receiving channels via Message Subscription Management.

Expiration Warning
Expiration alerts will be sent on the 7th, 5th, 3rd, and 1st day before expiration as well as on the expiration date. The alerts will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator, global resource collaborator, and financial collaborator via email and SMS.
Overdue Payment Warning
Overdue payment alerts will be sent on and after the expiration date of the instance. The alerts will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator and all collaborators via email and SMS.

7 Days Before Expiration
The system will send a renewal reminder.
on the day of expiration
If your account balance is sufficient and auto-renewal is enabled, the resources will be automatically renewed on the expiration date.
If the account is in arrears and unable to renew automatically or manually, it will enter the isolation period on the expiration date.
Within 7 days after expiration
The instance status is displayed as "isolated". Data and configurations stored in CKafka will not be terminated. Expired messages will still be automatically deleted according to the open-source Kafka mechanism.
During this period, you can manually renew the instance. After renewal, the instance will restore to normal state. The renewal cycle start time of the instance is the expiration time of the previous cycle.
More than 7 days after expiration
If the instance is not renewed within 7 days (including the 7th day) after expiration, the system will release resources within approximately 24 hours. Data in the expired instance will be erased and unrecoverable.

Arrears reminder
The system will deduct fees for pay-as-you-go resources at each full hour. When your account balance becomes negative, we will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator, as well as the global resource collaborator and financial collaborator via email and SMS.
Overdue Payment Warning
This feature is disabled by default. To enable this feature, see Balance Alert Instructions to subscribe.

Arrears Handling

Starting from the moment when your account balance becomes negative, the instance can continue to be used and billing continues for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the instance will stop serving, message sending and receiving cannot be used normally, the console and Tencent Cloud API cannot be used normally, and resource usage fees will continue to generate.
After the service stops, the system will handle the instance as follows:

7 days or less
If the top-up balance is more than 0, billing will continue and the instance will restore to normal state.
If the account balance is not topped up to exceed 0, the instance cannot be recovered.
Greater than 7 days
If the account balance is not topped up to exceed 0, the instance resource will be terminated, all data will be cleaned up and cannot be retrieved. When CKafka resources are terminated, we will notify the root account of Tencent Cloud account as well as subscribed sub-accounts and Collaborators via email and SMS.

After receiving an arrears notification, promptly go to the console Top-up Center to top up to avoid affecting your business.
