Tencent Cloud CDC is a customized public cloud extended to the customer's local environment. Its pricing model differs from typical public cloud products in the following ways:
Underwrite: After Tencent Cloud CDC is delivered to the customer's local IDC, it becomes a cloud service exclusively for the specified customer. Therefore, when users purchase a new Tencent Cloud CDC cluster, they must commit to a minimum of 3 years. Additionally, the Tencent Cloud CDC uses the amount of delivered resources as the billing standard, which differs from the usage-based billing standard of central public cloud services.
Supported subscription : Unlike traditional private cloud/dedicated cloud services, Tencent Cloud CDC can still offer public cloud subscription plans. After paying a certain percentage as a down payment, you can pay the remaining fees annually or monthly.
Scalable and irreducible: After Tencent Cloud CDC is delivered to the customer's local IDC, fees must be made continuously according to the agreed schedule until the end of the service term. The service cannot be terminated or canceled early, and the return process to Tencent Cloud can only be initiated at the end of the service period.
Platform product: Tencent Cloud CDC is also a platform product. After deployment, it can provide various types of cloud services locally, such as Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM), Cloud Block Storage (CBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Object Storage (COS), databases, Tencent Kubernetes Engine (TKE), and Elasticsearch. Customers can place orders based on their needs, with each product having its specifications and pricing.
