Recently launched by Tencent Cloud for Private DNS, the value-added service packages provide various types of value-added service resources for Private DNS. You can purchase these packages as needed, which will be deducted for usage fees incurred in the use of the Private DNS service.
Purchase
Log in to the Private DNS console and purchase the value-added service packages on the Private DNS buy page.
Packages
Item | Description |
Traffic package | The package takes effect at the day of purchase, and the query quota under it can be deducted for Private DNS queries made every day during the validity period. If there are other free traffic packages, the query quotas under such packages will be deducted first. |
| The query quota under the traffic package can be deducted only for queries made in the month of validity period. The quota not used up in the current month will be automatically cleared without carry-over in the next month. |
| Queries out of the quota in the month of validity period of the package will be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis. |
Domain package | The private domain quota under the package can be deducted for the fees charged on the corresponding number of private domains every day during the validity period. The package will be available for deduction at the next billing day after purchase. |

Round-robin DNS | This value-added service allows you to add more round-robin DNS records of the respective record type under an account. Specifically, you can add round-robin DNS records of the same host record and the same record type at the max number specified for the service. |
| The quota of round-robin DNS records can be deducted only for the corresponding round-robin DNS records added in the month of validity period. The quota not used up in the current month will be automatically cleared without carry-over in the next month. |
| Round-robin DNS records out of the quota for the month of validity period cannot be properly added. |
Non-standard TLDs | This service allows you to create the corresponding number of private domains that are not standard IANA TLDs. |
Use Rules
Purchase restrictions
Note:
There is a restriction on the purchase of the non-standard TLD service. The quota available for purchase shall be subject to the data shown on the buy page of the Private DNS console.
Use restrictions
A value-added service package is bound to the account under which it is purchased, so its quota can be deducted only for the fees of the Private DNS service incurred under this account (including its coordinator accounts and sub-accounts). It cannot be redeemed, used under another account, or transferred.
Validity period
The validity period of a value-added service package shall be subject to the data shown on the Private DNS buy page of the Private DNS console. The package will take effect immediately on the day of purchase and become invalid upon expiration.
A value-added service package becomes invalid upon expiration and cannot be extended, renewed or recovered.
The resources in the value-added service package can be deducted for the Private DNS usage fees within the validity period of the package.
Invoices
After successfully purchasing a value-added service package, you can apply for the corresponding invoice in the Billing Center.
The invoice will be issued at the amount actually paid for purchasing the value-added service package, and no more invoice will be issued for the Private DNS usage fees deducted with the value-added service package.
Auto-Renewal
If you check Auto-Renewal when purchasing the value-added service package, the package will be auto-renewed after resources expire or are used up.
Refund Policy
No refund will be made for a value-added service package after purchase.
