GWLB provides the following capabilities:
Enables compatibility with a third-party virtual device, provided that the device supports GENEVE encapsulation/decapsulation and original data packets.
Provides basic services for third-party virtual device vendors' SaaS services. With the characteristics such as simple deployment and easy management, it can improve the availability of third-party virtual devices.
Works with Private Link to help third-party virtual devices quickly establish access connections across VPCs under the same account or different accounts.
Public Network Access Deployment
By associating the endpoint with an EIP address, access requests from the public network are forwarded through Private Link to the VPC network where the GWLB instance is located. Third-party virtual devices such as firewalls are directly deployed in the path of network data. All data packets will be inspected and processed by a firewall when passing it, to prevent malicious data from entering the network and protect internal resources from attacks.
High throughput: GWLB can provide Tbps-level traffic throughput, offering a one-stop solution for north-south traffic encryption.
High availability: The health check feature of GWLB enables you to manage and integrate the status of third-party virtual devices in a centralized manner.
Ease of management: It can easily manage scalable third-party virtual devices specific to the north-south traffic and maintain the integrity of original data packets by GENEVE encapsulation.
Private Network Access Deployment
GWLB works with third-party virtual devices such as firewalls to detect inbound and outbound traffic with high availability guaranteed. It uses the GENEVE protocol to communicate with a firewall, forwards received traffic to a group of backend firewalls, and implements management features such as health check and load balancing.
High throughput: GWLB can provide Tbps-level traffic throughput, offering a one-stop solution for east-west traffic encryption.
High availability: The health check feature of GWLB enables you to manage and integrate the status of third-party virtual devices in a centralized manner.
Ease of management: It can easily manage scalable third-party virtual devices specific to the east-west traffic and maintain the integrity of original data packets by GENEVE encapsulation.
