A target group is a set of real servers bound to GWLB to handle corresponding forwarding requests. After GWLB is bound to a target group, it uses a load balancing algorithm to forward requests to an appropriate real server for handling, thereby ensuring stable and reliable operation of the application.
Supported Protocol Types
GWLB handles business traffic at the network layer and is independent of the device status. This design enables compatibility with a third-party virtual device, provided that the device supports GENEVE encapsulation/decapsulation and original data packets.
Therefore, the GWLB target group only supports the GENEVE protocol.
