    GWLB

Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB) is a load balancer running at the network layer. GWLB instances enable you to deploy, expand, and manage third-party virtual devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, analysis systems, and visualization devices, with simpler operations and higher security.

    GWLB Instance

A GWLB instance is a running GWLB service. To use the GWLB service, you need to create a GWLB instance first.

    VIP

A virtual IP address (VIP) is a service IP address allocated by the system to a GWLB instance.

    GWLB Listener

A Gateway Load Balancer Listener (GWLB Listener) monitors all IP packets on all ports. It is automatically generated after a GWLB instance is created, with no need for additional configurations.

    Target group

The target group is a group of Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM) instances used to process requests distributed by Cloud Load Balancer (CLB).

    GLCU

A Gateway Load Balancer Capacity Unit (GLCU) is used to measure the metrics involved in processing traffic with GWLB. It is the smallest unit for measuring GWLB resource consumption.

    VPC

Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is a private network space in Tencent Cloud that provides network services for your Tencent Cloud resources. Different VPCs are logically isolated from each other completely.

    Region

A region is the boot location for GWLB instances and other resources.

    CLB

Cloud Load Balancer (CLB) is a secure, stable, and elastically scalable traffic distribution service provided by Tencent Cloud. It improves system availability by eliminating single point of failure.
