CLB Resource Package Overview

    The Cloud Load Balancer (CLB) resource packages purchased in the prepaid mode can be used to deduct instance fees and Loadbalancer Capacity Unit (LCU) fees generated by performance capacity instances under the pay-as-you-go mode after taking effect. Compared to the pay-as-you-go mode, the unit price of a CLB resource package is more favorable, and the effective time of the resource package can be set according to actual business needs. You can evaluate your business consumption data to choose an appropriate resource package, which is suitable for scenarios with fixed budget expenditures.
    Convenience: When purchasing a resource package, you can select the effective time. After taking effect, it will automatically deduct without additional configuration.
    Flexibility: Various specifications are available for free selection, and it supports multiple purchases to meet the deduction needs in different business scenarios.
    Low cost: The unit price of a resource package is more favorable than the pay-as-you-go price, and the larger a resource package, the lower the price, helping you reduce costs.
    Note:
    CLB resource packages are only applicable for deduction in pay-as-you-go mode (not applicable for monthly subscription mode).
    CLB resource packages only support deducting instance fees and LCU fees for performance capacity instances.

    Resource Package Service Regions

    According to the billing region classification, CLB resource packages are divided into Chinese mainland resource packages and non-Chinese mainland resource packages. The deduction regions vary for different packages. For example, if you have pay-as-you-go performance capacity instances in Singapore, and you have already purchased a non-Chinese mainland resource package and it has taken effect, they can be deducted. If not, they will be charged in pay-as-you-go mode.

    Non-Chinese mainland resource package
    Deducts the instance fees and LCU fees for all pay-as-you-go performance capacity CLB instances in the non-Chinese mainland region. This includes: Seoul/Mumbai/Virginia/Tokyo/Singapore/Jakarta/Silicon Valley/Hong Kong (China)/Frankfurt/Sao Paulo/Bangkok.

    Billing Cycle

    CLB resource packages are prepaid resource packages, with a default validity period of 1 year. You can choose to activate it immediately or at a specified time.

    Resource Package Deduction Rules

    CLB resource packages only support deducting instance fees and LCU fees for performance capacity instances generated after the resource packages take effect. Fees incurred before purchasing the resource packages cannot be deducted.
    When purchasing a CLB resource package, you can choose to activate it immediately or at a specified time.
    There is no limit to the number of resource packages at the account level. You can purchase up to 20 at a time.
    When there are multiple resource packages under an account, deductions are made based on the package expiration time; the package that expires first is deducted first.
    If all resource packages in your billing region have expired and have not been renewed, the generated instance fees and LCU fees are settled on a pay-as-you-go basis.

    How Do I View the Detailed Information of Resource Packages?
    Resource packages support viewing detailed deduction information, including the deduction instance ID, deducted amount, deduction time, and billable items of the deduction. For specific operations, refer to Viewing Resource Package Details.
    Do Resource Packages Support Refund?
    Resource packages that have not taken effect support self-service refund. Resource packages that have already taken effect, expired, or are exhausted do not support refund. Unused resource packages will automatically reset upon expiration and cannot be transferred to other resource packages.
