What Is Tencent Cloud Bandwidth Package?
Tencent Cloud Bandwidth Package (BWP) is a multi-IP aggregated traffic billing mode. If you activate a bandwidth package in the Guangzhou region, all your devices in this region can be billed by bandwidth package.
How Do I Activate a Bandwidth Package?
Prepaid general BGP bandwidth packages and prepaid dedicated BGP bandwidth packages for Hong Kong (China) do not require an application and can be purchased in the BWP console.
General BGP bandwidth packages in the pay-as-you-go - bandwidth billing and pay-as-you-go - enhanced 95th percentile billing modes are supported by default. Dedicated BGP bandwidth packages in the enhanced 95th percentile billing mode for Hong Kong (China) are also supported by default. For bandwidth packages in the top 5 billing mode, contact your account manager to apply for activation.
For details about static single-line bandwidth packages and AIA BGP bandwidth packages, see Billing Overview. What Types of BWP Are Available?
There are two types: device bandwidth package and IP bandwidth package. For details, see Product Types. What Are the Differences Between the Two Types of Bandwidth Packages?
When a device bandwidth package is activated, all CVMs and CLBs in the region will be automatically billed by bandwidth package.
When an IP bandwidth package is activated, all public IP addresses, EIPs, CLBs, and EIPv6 addresses added to the package will be billed by bandwidth package.
What Are the Differences in Bandwidth Packages Before and After the Account Type Upgrade?
Tencent Cloud accounts consist of bill-by-IP accounts and bill-by-CVM accounts. Bill-by-CVM accounts will no longer support new features in the later period. If you are using a bill-by-CVM account, we recommend upgrading it to a bill-by-IP account. For details, see Checking Account Type. After upgrading, a device bandwidth package is automatically switched to an IP bandwidth package. The original instances billed by bandwidth package are automatically added to the IP bandwidth package, but new instances should be manually added to the IP bandwidth package. How Do I Delete My Bandwidth Package?
