Billing Description
Billing time
Bills are generated on the first or second day of every month. You can view the specific billing time in the Billing Center. For details, see Bill Description. Settlement time
Fees are calculated on a monthly basis and automatically deducted from your account balance.
Settlement scope
Bandwidth packages are region-specific. A bandwidth package can only be associated with one region.
Peak bandwidth
Peak bandwidth for a single instance: The peak bandwidth of an EIP instance billed by bandwidth package is 2 Gbps. This is a reference value for the maximum possible bandwidth, but not a committed metric. In case of resource contention, the peak bandwidth may not reach this value.
Billing Formula
Bandwidth package fees = Monthly peak bandwidth × Bandwidth unit price × Valid days/Days of the billable month
Daily peak bandwidth: A peak value is calculated separately for the outbound and inbound bandwidth every 5 minutes and the higher value is taken as a valid sample point of peak bandwidth. There are 288 sample points each day. After they are sorted in descending order, the fifth highest value is used as the daily peak bandwidth.
Monthly peak bandwidth: On the settlement date, the daily peak bandwidth values are sorted in descending order and the average of the top 5 peak values is used as the monthly peak bandwidth.
Valid days: Number of days with the bandwidth greater than 1 Kbps.
Days of the billable month: Number of calendar days in the month when the bandwidth package is used.

Billing Example
Assume that you purchased a general BGP bandwidth package in the pay-as-you-go - monthly top 5 billing mode in the Singapore region on June 1 (the billable month includes 30 days). The bandwidth unit price was 16.97 USD/Mbps/month and there were 20 days with the bandwidth greater than 1 Kbps. The bandwidth package was used normally throughout the month, with the top 5 daily peak bandwidth values being 100 M, 95 M, 90 M, 85 M, and 80 M. Then the bandwidth package fees for the month are calculated as follows:
Monthly peak bandwidth = (100 + 95 + 90 + 85 + 80)/5 = 90 MB
Bandwidth package fees = 90 × 16.97 × 20/30 = 1,018.20 USD
