Therefore, to obtain better and more stable network services, it is recommended to upgrade to the enhanced 95th percentile billing mode as soon as possible.
BGP and static single-line bandwidth packages in the monthly 95th percentile mode cannot be created respectively from April 1, 2023 and June 1, 2023. To provide better and more stable services, the monthly 95th percentile billing mode was uniformly upgraded to the enhanced 95th percentile billing mode on January 1, 2024.
What Is the Effective Scope of This Upgrade?
The effective scope is as follows:
Only bill-by-IP accounts are affected.
It applies to the existing monthly 95th percentile bandwidth packages, including general BGP, dedicated BGP, and static single-line bandwidth packages.
Starting from January 1, 2024, only enhanced 95th percentile bandwidth packages can be created. The existing monthly 95th percentile bandwidth packages should be upgraded to enhanced 95th percentile bandwidth packages and the upgrade is irreversible.
The billable bandwidth will vary based on the actual usage due to the change of 5-minute sample points from peak to average values.
Will the Fees Increase or Decrease After Upgrading?
It depends on your actual business bandwidth and business model. You can submit a ticket or contact your business manager to calculate the fees. When Will the Enhanced 95th Percentile Billing Mode Take Effect After Upgrading?

What Do I Need to Prepare Before Upgrading?
Before upgrading, you need to reasonably plan the bandwidth cap for the enhanced 95th percentile bandwidth package.
The default base ratio is 20%. If your business bandwidth does not reach the base level, only a small amount of base fees will be charged. If bandwidth contention occurs during peak hours, the base bandwidth will serve as a committed metric to ensure your business continuity and stability.
