This document provides the billing description, billing formula, bandwidth unit price, and billing example for general BGP bandwidth packages in the pay-as-you-go - bandwidth billing mode.
Note:
For general BGP bandwidth packages in the pay-as-you-go - bandwidth billing mode, the bandwidth cap can be set within the range of 50-300 Mbps.
When you activate a bandwidth package, the fees for one settlement cycle will be frozen based on the specified bandwidth cap, bandwidth unit price, and freezing ratio (100% for general BGP bandwidth packages in the bandwidth billing mode). If your account balance is less than the frozen fees, activation will not be possible. For details, see Frozen Funds. Billing Description
Billing time
Bills are generated on the first or second day of every month. You can view the specific billing time in the Billing Center. For details, see Bill Description. Settlement time
Fees are settled on a daily basis and automatically deducted from your account balance.
Settlement scope
Bandwidth packages are region-specific. A bandwidth package can be associated only with one region.
Peak bandwidth
Peak bandwidth for a single instance: The bandwidth cap set when you create a bandwidth package.
Billing Formula
Frozen fees for activation = Bandwidth unit price (USD/Mbps/day) x Bandwidth cap set for the day (Mbps) × Freezing ratio (100%) × Billing cycle (1 day)
Bandwidth package fees = Bandwidth unit price (USD/Mbps/day) x Bandwidth cap set for the day (Mbps) × Billing duration (day)
Bandwidth cap set for the day: The maximum bandwidth cap set for the bandwidth package in the settlement cycle.
Billing duration: The settlement cycle for billing by bandwidth is counted in days. If the bandwidth package duration is less than 1 day, billing is based on the number of effective hours (the duration less than 1 hour is counted as 1 effective hour). For details, see the billing example below.

Billing Example
Assume that you purchased a BGP bandwidth package in the pay-as-you-go -bandwidth billing mode in Singapore at a unit price of 0.55 USD/Mbps/day on June 1. The bandwidth cap you set for the day was 80 Mbps. The bandwidth package was created at 10:45:00 and deleted at 12:30:00, so the billing duration was 2 hours. The fees you need to pay are calculated as follows:
Bandwidth package fees = 0.55 x 80 x (2/24) = 3.67 USD
