This document provides the billing description, billing formula, bandwidth unit prices, and billing example for dedicated BGP bandwidth packages in the pay-as-you-go - enhanced 95th percentile billing mode.
Note:
For dedicated BGP bandwidth packages in the pay-as-you-go - enhanced 95th percentile billing mode, the bandwidth cap can be set within the range of 300-5000 Mbps.
Bill-by-CVM accounts do not support the pay-as-you-go - enhanced 95th percentile billing mode. To confirm your account type, see Checking Account Type. When a bandwidth package is activated, the estimated fees for one settlement cycle are frozen based on your set bandwidth cap, bandwidth unit price, and freezing ratio (40% for dedicated BGP bandwidth packages in the enhanced 95th percentile billing mode). Billing time
Bills are generated on the first or second day of every month. You can view the specific billing time in the Billing Center. For details, see Bill Description. Settlement time
Fees are settled on a monthly basis and automatically deducted from your account balance.
Scope
Bandwidth packages are region-specific. A bandwidth package can be associated only with one region.
Usage Details
Peak bandwidth
Peak bandwidth for a single instance: The bandwidth cap set when you create a bandwidth package.
Billing Formula
Frozen fees for activation = Bandwidth unit price (USD/Mbps/month) x Bandwidth cap (Mbps) x Freezing ratio (40%) x Billing cycle (1 month)
Bandwidth package fees = MAX (Monthly peak bandwidth x Valid days/Days of the billable month, Monthly base bandwidth x Package duration/Days of the billable month) x Bandwidth unit price
Monthly peak bandwidth: An average value is calculated separately for the inbound and outbound bandwidth every 5 minutes and the higher value is taken as a valid sample point of peak bandwidth. There are 288 sample points every day. After they are sorted in descending order, the fifth highest value is taken as the daily peak bandwidth. On the settlement day, all the daily peak bandwidth values are sorted in descending order and the average of the top 5 daily peak values is taken as the monthly peak bandwidth.
Daily base bandwidth: The daily base bandwidth is calculated by multiplying the daily bandwidth cap by the base ratio (20% by default).
Monthly base bandwidth: The monthly base bandwidth is an average value calculated by dividing the sum of all daily base bandwidth values by the number of days for the package duration. You can adjust the bandwidth cap of the instance as needed for the package duration, so the daily base bandwidth values may vary.
Valid days: Number of days with the bandwidth greater than 1 Kbps.
Package duration: Number of calendar days for the duration (from creation to deletion) of the bandwidth package.
Days of the billable month: Number of calendar days in the month when the bandwidth package is used.

Billing Example
Assume that you created a dedicated BGP bandwidth package in the pay-as-you-go - enhanced 95th percentile billing mode in the Singapore region on June 10 (the billable month included 30 days) and deleted it on June 21. For the package duration, the bandwidth cap was 500 Mbps, the base ratio was 20%, and the bandwidth unit price was 87.88 USD/Mbps/month. According to the enhanced 95th percentile billing mode, the fees you need to pay on the billing day are calculated as follows:
Assume that there were 6 days with actual bandwidth greater than 1 Kbps for the package duration. The bandwidth package existed for 12 days and the monthly peak bandwidth was 80 Mbps. Then for the month:
Monthly peak bandwidth = 80 Mbps
Daily base bandwidth = 500 Mbps × 20% = 100 Mbps
Monthly base bandwidth = 100 Mbps
Bandwidth package fees = MAX (80 × 6 / 30, 100 × 12 / 30) × 87.88 = MAX (16, 40) × 87.88 = 3,515.20 USD
