Binding Tags to Members and Departments

TCO supports binding tags to member accounts and departments, making it easier for you to add more information to accounts and achieve member classification management based on tags.

Operation Scenarios

A tag is a key-value (Key:Value) pair, which consists of a tag key (Key) and a tag value (Value). For more details about tags, see Tag.
The admin account can bind tags to the following items:
Member Account
Root of the Organization
Organization Department
You can bind tags in the following scenarios:
When adding members: Bind tags to new members and members invited to join the organization.
Existing members in the organization: Edit the tag information for corresponding members on the member account management page in the TCO console.
When adding a new department: Bind tags when adding a new department.
Existing department: Edit tags for the existing department.

Member account

Binding tags when adding members

1. Log in to the TCO console.
2. In the left sidebar:
Click Department Management to enter the department management page.
Alternatively, click Member Account Management to enter the member account management page.
3. Click Add member.
4. In the tag editing section, select the tag key from the dropdown list. If the current tag keys cannot meet your needs, go to the Tag console to create a tag. For details, see Creating Tags and Binding Resources.



Note:
Binding tags for a new member is similar to binding tags for an invited member.

Editing tags bound to a member

1. Log in to the TCO console.
2. In the left sidebar, click Member Account Management to enter the member account management page.
3. Click the corresponding Member name to go to the member details page.



4. At the tag editing section, click the edit icon on the right to enter the Edit Tag page.



5. On the Edit Tag page, you can bind and unbind tags. To unbind a tag from the member account, click the delete icon on the right of the corresponding tag.



6. Click OK to complete the changes.

Department

Adding a tag when creating a department

1. Log in to the TCO console.
2. In the left sidebar, click Department management to enter the Department management page.
3. Click Add Department .
4. In the tag editing section, add the tag key and value.



5. Click OK to complete the creation of the department and bind the tag.

Editing tags bound to a department

1. On the Department management page, click the corresponding department node.
2. Click the edit icon on the right of the tag to enter the Edit Tag page.



3. On the Edit Tag page, perform operations such as tag binding and unbinding.



4. Click OK to save the information.
Note:
TCO has been standardized for accessing Tag. The "original department tag" will be off-shelf soon. Please copy the "original department tag" to the standard "tag" as soon as possible.
Method: Create a tag in the Tag console using the " tag key:tag value" of the original department tag, and then refer to Editing tags bound to a department , to bind the tag to the department .
