Manage Preset Policies and Custom Policies

    This document introduces how to manage preset policies and custom policies, including operations to add and delete preset policies, and operations to add, modify, and delete custom policies.

    Use Limits

    Each permission configuration can have up to 20 preset policies and 1 custom policy by default.
    The maximum length for the content of a custom policy is 6,144 characters.

    Adding or Deleting Preset Policies

    Note:
    After a preset policy is added or deleted, if the permission configuration has already been deployed to a member account, you need to redeploy the permission configuration for it to take effect in the member account. For specific operations, see Redeploy Permission Configuration.
    1. You have logged in to TCO > Identity Center.
    2. In the left sidebar, click CAM Synchronization > Configuring Permission.
    3. On the Configuring Permission page, click the target permission configuration name.
    4. On the Preset Policy tab, add or delete preset policies.

    1. Click Add Policy.
    
    2. On the Add Policy panel, select preset policies as needed and click OK.
    
    1. Click Delete in the Operation column for the target preset policy.
    
    2. In the pop-up window, click OK.

    Adding, Modifying, or Deleting Custom Policies

    1. You have logged in to TCO > Identity Center.
    2. In the left sidebar, click CAM Synchronization > Configuring Permission.
    3. On the Configuring Permission page, click the target permission configuration name.
    4. On the Custom Policy tab, manage custom policies.

    1. Click Add Policy. The custom policies reuse the CAM policy syntax. For the syntax logic, see Syntax Structure.
    
    2. You can create custom policies through Visual Policy Generator. For the configuration method, see Creating Custom Policies Through Policy Generator.
    
    3. Alternatively, you can create custom policies through JSON. For the configuration method, see Creating Custom Policies Through Policy Syntax.
    
    1. Click the Edit button, modify the custom policy content, and click Save.
    
    1. Click the Delete button.
    
    2. In the Delete Custom Policy dialog box, click OK.
    Note:
    After a policy is created, modified, or deleted, if the permission configuration has already been deployed to a member account, you need to redeploy the access configuration for it to take effect in the member account. For specific operations, see Redeploy Permission Configuration.
