Dear Tencent Cloud users, according to Tencent Cloud's security prevention requirements, Tencent Cloud will add CAM authentication access to the SQL Server Direct API on June 27, 2023. To ensure that you can normally use the corresponding interfaces after the upgrade, please log in to the Tencent Cloud CAM console before June 27, 2023, to add access permissions for the corresponding interfaces.

Points of Attention

For users already authorized before this date, the authorization will take effect without any impact. Those not authorized after this date will first need to be authorized if they want to use an API, which is a prerequisite for accessing the corresponding interfaces.

Time to Take Effect

June 27, 2023 (Tuesday), Beijing time.

BalanceReadOnlyGroup
This API (BalanceReadOnlyGroup) is utilized to balance the routing weight of each read-only instance in accordance with predefined weights. Predefined weights can be queried through the DescribeReadOnlyGroupAutoWeight API.
Resource-Level
DeleteDBInstanceSet
This API (DeleteDBInstanceSet) allows bulk release of SQL Server instances that are currently in the recycle bin (immediate deactivation). These instances after release will undergo physical termination after a predefined period. Their Publish-Subscribe link will be automatically nullified and their read-only (RO) replicas will be automatically released.

This API (DescribeBackupMonitor) is employed to query the detailed usage of backup space.

DescribeBackupSummary
This interface (DescribeBackupSummary) is used to query an overview of database backup information.

This API (DescribeDBInstancesAttribute) is used to query the attachment attribute of instances.

This API (DescribeRegularBackupPlan) is used to query the retention plans of regular backups for instances.

Authorization Operation Guidance

1. Log in to the CAM console.
2. Click on Policies in the left navigation bar.

Resource-Level API

Choose Create Custom Policy > Create by Policy Generator to configure the corresponding policy parameters.
Service: SQL Server (sqlserver).
Resources: Select either Specific resources or All resources.


Operation-Level API

Choose Create Custom Policy > Create by Policy Generator to configure the corresponding policy parameters.
Service: SQL Server (sqlserver).
Resources: Select All resources. Specific resources is not available.

1. Click Next, configure Associate User/User Group/Role.

2. Click Complete.
