The standard architecture of Redis 2.8 and the standard and cluster architectures of Redis 4.0, 5.0, 6.2, and 7.0 support the following commands: auth, echo, ping, quit, and select.
Both the Redis 2.8 standard architecture and Redis 4.0, 5.0, 6.2, and 7.0 standard and cluster architectures do not support the following commands: client caching, client getredir, client info, client tracking, client trackinginfo, client unpause, reset, client list, and client kill.
The standard architecture of Redis 2.8 and the cluster architectures of Redis 4.0, 5.0, 6.2, and 7.0 do not support the swapdb command. However, the Redis 4.0, 5.0, 6.2, and 7.0 standard architectures do support this command.
The hello command, added for compatibility with Redis 6.2, currently supports only the RESP2 protocol.
Cross-slot access is not applicable to the auth, echo, ping, quit, select, swapdb, and hello commands.
Here is the detailed version information for the "connection" family commands (auth, echo, ping, quit, select, swapdb, hello). In the following table, ✓ indicates "supported", x indicates "unsupported", and - indicates that cross-slot access is not applicable to the command.
