Prepaid Packages Supported for Monthly Billed Accounts

    We have learned from customer interviews that many monthly billed customers are interested in VOD's prepaid packages. To meet this demand, we opened prepaid packages to all accounts on March 21, 2023. Now, both daily and monthly billed accounts can buy VOD packages and use them to deduct VOD usage.
    
    In the monthly billing mode, the system will deduct your usage from valid packages first. The additional usage will be billed at pay-as-you-go rates. For more information about packages, see Prepaid Packages.

    Deduction time

    Daily billing: Fees each day are billed between 12:00 and 18:00 the following day. As long as a package is purchased before the billing time, it can be used to deduct usage for the previous day (00:00 - 24:00).
    Monthly billing: Fees each month are billed within the first three days of the following month. As long as a package is purchased before the billing time, it can be used to deduct usage for the previous month.

    Data update cycles

    Daily billing: If the bill for the current billing cycle hasn't been generated yet, the console will show your usage data for the previous cycle. For example, suppose your bill is generated at 15:00 on January 3. Before 15:00 on January 3, because the usage for January 2 has not been deducted yet, the console will show data as of January 1. After 15:00 on January 3, the console will show data as of January 2.
    Monthly billing: If the bill for the current billing cycle hasn't been generated yet, the console will show your usage data for the previous cycle. For example, suppose your bill is generated at 15:00 on March 1. Before 15:00 on March 1, because the usage for February has not been deducted yet, the console will show data as of January. After 15:00 on March 1, the console will show data as of February.
