Global Application Accelerate Platform (GAAP) is a PAAS product to optimize the access latency for businesses across the globe. Replying on high-speed connections and cluster forwarding and intelligent routing based on global nodes, end users in different regions are connected to the closest nodes and forwarded to the origin server, so as to reduce the access lag and delay.

Features

Global deployment

GAAP has more than 50 global nodes deployed across Asia, Europe, South America, North America, and Oceania. It provides stable and efficient high-speed connections for businesses around the globe that require intra-region communication or server sharing, reducing access lag and latency.

High efficiency and stability

GAAP has five central nodes covering major regions around the world with an SLA of 99.95%. The network latency is below 60ms for intra-region communications and below 180ms for cross-continent or cross-region communications. A single GAAP connection can sustain 1 Gbps bandwidth and accelerate one million concurrent requests.

Flexible access

GAAP provides graphical user interface for easy creation and use of high-speed connections. It supports both IP and domain name, nearby access through one domain name, TCP and UDP protocols, and URL forwarding for HTTP and HTTPS.

Operational support

GAAP supports the origin server to get users' real IP. It supports on-demand capacity expansion and service change imperceptible to your business; statistical analysis in multiple dimensions such as bandwidth, concurrence, packet loss, latency, and packet forwarding; cloud monitoring alarms for connections and origin servers.

##Scenarios

###Cross-region acceleration

For businesses that require cross-origin access, network conditions in different regions often result in increased latency and packet loss, affecting the user experience of cross-domain business access. GAAP can create high-speed connections between the acceleration region (region where the user is located) and the origin server region (region where the server is located), which effectively reduce network latency and packet loss, ensure fast and stable network, and deliver better user experience.

One server shared by game players worldwide

In general, many of our games are simultaneously accessible to players around the globe or across a large region, but this type of scenario may compromise game fairness and user experience due to network conditions in various regions. The Global Application Acceleration Service allows multiple regions to use a unified domain name for access, allowing players in each region to access the nearest high-speed connections, enabling simultaneous acceleration of users worldwide or in the same region, directly improving user experience and ensuring game fairness.
