Project List

Click on Project List in the left-side directory tree of the console, and you can view the project list and carry out operations such as project creation. The project list provides basic information for all projects under the account, including region, project identifier/name, creator, creation time, the compute engine type bound to the project, execution resource group, and operation entry for modules under the project.




Enter different feature modules

In the project list, select a project, click on Data Development, Operations Center, Data Operations, Data Quality, Project Management, Data Security, DataInLong, Data Planning after the respective project to enter the corresponding page for operations.



Note
Only members added to the project can enter the feature modules. Non-team members have no permission to enter the corresponding project, and the feature module will be grayed out and inaccessible.

Create a project

WeData supports users creating projects in the console, with the following steps:
1. Select the working region. Currently, WeData only supports creating projects in the Beijing region.
2. Click on Create a project, and configure the project in the pop-up window on the right side according to your needs.

Creation Type
You can choose between "Create and configure project" and "Create project only" as the project creation methods.
Basic Info
Project Identifier
Project English ID, unique within the region. Begins with a letter, may include letters, numbers, and underscores, and does not exceed 20 characters.
Project Name
Project Chinese Display Name, unique within the region. Begins with a letter or Chinese character, may include letters, Chinese characters, numbers, and underscores.
Description(Optional)
Provide a simple description for the created space.
Select Engine Type
Elastic MapReduce
After activation, you can use EMR in WeData for developing big data processing tasks.
DLC
After activation, you can use Tencent Cloud DLC in WeData.
Cloud Data Warehouse TCHouse-P
After activation, you can use Cloud Data Warehouse TCHouse-P in WeData.
Configure the compute-storage engine
Region
Select the region where the Compute Engine Instance is located in WeData. Instances of different types of computing engines must be in the same region.
EMR Cluster
Select an EMR Cluster available to the current tenant in the selected region. WeData only supports EMR that includes the Hive component. If there are no available clusters, you can go to purchase an instance.
DLC
Data engine
Select one or more available DLC data engines within the selected region for the current tenant.
Database Name
The default is DataLakeCatalog, which requires a database within the DLC engine.
Testing connectivity
Log in to Tencent Cloud to test if the password can connect to the resources.
Engine Metadata Collection
Once activated, a collection task will automatically be created. After completing the Resource Group Configuration, the collection task will collect and analyze metadata from the engine. You can go to the Data Operation Module to view and modify the task.
TCHouse-P Cluster
Version
You can choose between TCHouse-P1.0 or TCHouse-P2.0 versions.
Cluster Name
The name of the TCHouse-P Cluster already purchased by the account in the selected region.
username & password
Account password used to connect to the TCHouse-P Cluster.
Testing connectivity
Test whether the password can connect to the cluster. If the connection test passes, you can create a project (if the connectivity test fails, it may be because WeData is blocked by the network firewall where the cluster is located).
Execute Resource Allocation
Scheduling Resources
Scheduling Resources
Scheduling resources are mainly used for scheduled scheduling of data development tasks (including SQL type tasks, shell tasks, etc.).
Associated resource
The scheduling resources need to be in the same region as the EMR. After association, the project exclusively uses the associated resources. This list only shows scheduling resources not associated with other projects, you can go to view or purchase resources.
Integration Resources
Integration Resources
Integrated Resource Groups primarily execute DataInLong tasks.

After association, the project exclusively uses the associated resources. This list only shows integrated resources not associated with other projects, you can proceed.
3. After the configuration is completed, click Confirm to generate the project.
Note
Binding different types of engines under the project will affect the corresponding available task types in the Data Development Module.
WeData currently supports three types of computing engine types: EMR (EMR), Tencent Cloud Data Warehouse TCHouse-P (TCHouse-P), and DLC (Data Lake Compute, DLC).
